Pyramid Solitaire Rules: How to Match 13

Learn which Pyramid cards are available, how to pair ranks to 13 and how to use the stock and waste pile.

Match available cards to make 13

Number cards count at face value. Jack is 11, Queen 12 and King 13. Remove two available cards whose values total 13: Queen–Ace, Jack–2, 10–3, 9–4, 8–5 or 7–6. A King is removed by itself.

A pyramid card is available only when no other pyramid card covers it. You can pair two exposed pyramid cards, or match one exposed card with the current top waste card.

Use and recycle the stock

Turn over a stock card when you need another candidate. In this version, only the current top waste card is available to pair with an exposed pyramid card.

When the stock is empty, click it to return the waste cards and draw again. This embed allows unlimited cycles and preserves their order, so track the waste sequence and clear useful pyramid pairs before recycling.

Choose matches that uncover more cards

A match may remove exposed cards without revealing anything, or it may uncover new pyramid cards. When you have a choice, inspect which covered cards each pair will free and whether a needed rank remains available.

Kings need no partner, but other ranks depend on their complementary value. Scan the pyramid before taking an easy pair so you do not use a card needed to unlock another part of the layout.
